If you have already succeeded in teaching your dog the basics to live together and would like to entrench already learned actions or you are looking to learn some new skills and improve your communication with your dog, our intermediate classes could be ideal for you.
Often our dogs are able to perform behaviours at home when asked but find the same thing very difficult outdoors. Your dog might be able to wait patiently for their food at home until released, but can they leave food on the pavement if asked?
If not, your dog is not being naughty or stubborn, they just need to practice the same behaviour in lots of different environments and contexts in a structured way. We can positively reinforce essential habits so that your dog can perform these everywhere.
In our intermediate classes we will practice important attitudes in a variety of settings by adding different distances, duration and various distractions to create strong behaviours that your dog will be able to perform reliably, no matter what.
Not every dog is suited to attend a group class straight-away due to being uncomfortable around dogs. Dogs who are reactive to other dogs will be offered one-to-one help before they can join group sessions.
We accept dogs into our Intermediate classes who have completed our puppy or foundation class or have prior training experience. We take a maximum of 6 dogs into our classes.
