The best time to start teaching your dog is at puppy age.

Would you like to give your puppy the best start in life by teaching them some essential life skills, so that they can become a confident, content, well-socialised dog?

Our puppy classes offer you the skills to teach essential behaviours, prevent behaviour issues in a safe but fun environment.

Puppyhood is the most important age in a dog’s life from a learning point of view. Early experiences, positive and negative, can define whether your puppy grows into a confident, well-rounded dog or potentially a fearful one.

Behaviours learned well at this age give a strong foundation to a well-behaved dog and scary experiences can leave a life-long imprint in your puppy that are difficult to override.

That is why it is super-important to start teaching your puppy as early as possible, in an environment where they feel safe.

In this six-week course I will help you understand what ‘language’ dogs ‘speak’ and what the most important factors are for your puppy including socialisation and body language. I will also give you support and guidance on how to get through the first few months of puppyhood covering topics such as jumping up, puppy biting, chewing and appropriate play.

Together we will teach your beautiful puppies essential attitudes (attention, recall, stay, walking on a loose lead etc.) and life skills, basic manners and self-control; some through fun games. I will also show you how you can prevent unwanted behaviours and experiences that could be traumatic for your puppy or could cause an issue later in its life.

I take puppies into my puppy classes up to 20 weeks of age. Puppies can join the classes after their first vaccination as long as your vet approves. I take a maximum of 6 puppies into my classes.
